Has anyone had their JD compact tractor dynod? If so, was it up to snuff compared to the HP the tractor was suppose to have?

I've had our JD CUT's in for service several times and just never ask about a dyno check, so that's a good question. The same dealer services our JD farm tractors and I know that a dyno check is a regular part of the winter checkup. I've never noticed a dyno check on our 4000 series on the winter checkup list. Next time I'm in I'll ask just for curiosity. I noticed you have a "Super M" and a "Cub". I also have some Farmalls around. I grew up driving letter series and still like them I've got five in parade ready never come out of the shed condition, three or four we still use, and quite a few rust buckets in reserve. We still use a Super M, Super H, regular M, and a 656 that I bought new in 1965 or a regular basis. They just don't seem to ever wear out. Enjoy the day, Frank. ....

Yeah those old IH tractors from the 40s and 50s just never wear out. I love my Super M.......spend alot of hours on it as a kid plowing and disking for my Dad and then cultivating corn and beans 3 or 4 times during the summer. We had cleaner crops then than what most people have today and we didn't spend a fortune on the chemicals to do so....just alot of my sweat and patience behind the wheel of my trusted Super M ....

We Dyno the Yanmar and Kubota engines for applications other than tractors. They both make advertised net HP at rated speeds. Design life is around 6000hrs but have been known to live up to 20,000hrs in our applications. The engine designs between the two are very similar. One engine has a slight power advantage at high load conditions and the other has a slight advantage at medium load conditions. ....
